ACE-031 (also known as Ramatercept) is an experimental fusion protein developed for the potential treatment of muscle-wasting diseases like Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
Its clinical development was halted in Phase II due to safety concerns, and it is currently prohibited in sport by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Mechanism of Action
ACE-031 functions as a ligand trap by binding to and inhibiting several negative regulators of muscle mass, including myostatin and activins, which normally limit muscle growth.
By doing so, it prevents these ligands from interacting with their natural receptors (activin receptor type IIB or ActRIIB) on muscle fibers, leading to increased muscle cell growth (hypertrophy).
For research use only, not to be used in clinical trials involving humans. Documentation is for information only.
Note:
With this option, we will mix it for you with bacteriostatic water and put it into a cartridge for you to use in your own reusable pen (no vial received).
Reusable pens are sold in the accessories category of our online shop.
You can also buy this cartridge within a disposable pen complete with alcohol swaps and needles all in a case (see alternate product).
